These Backyard Batting Cages Fit Any Age Fastpitch Player
Players don't swing enough! In practice, you get a few swings and then the next player gets a few swings... Seems like the same thing at the commercial batting cages too...and how often do you go? Unless its 3 times each week... you go 2 steps forward and then 1 or 2 steps backward... It's tough for younger and older players alike to improve as much as they should.
A backyard batting cage and pitching machine is an awesome solution. But until now, they have just been too expensive for many families... and many times, too large too.
The Length of A Batting Cage Is Not Critical To A Player's Success!
These portable batting cages can be as short as 24 feet long! The question I get asked is how that will affect a batter, since the pitcher generally is throwing from 40 or more feet away during games.
The answer is simply that it does not matter! As a matter of fact, if you ever attend a Big League Baseball Game... watch batting practice (arrive 2 hours before the first pitch to see both teams.)
It's All About Quickness!
You will observe the highest paid players in the world hitting 60-70 MPH pitches, not 95 mph fastballs (velocity in batting practice is over hyped too) that are thrown from 45 feet away... not the 60 feet 6 inches they see in a game... in front of the pitcher's mound and with much less velocity than in game conditions!
Burn In The Muscle Memory of A Consistent, Repeatable Swing!
Just set it up... and hit!
Do You Get It?
It doesn't matter who you are or how good you are... if you don't learn to swing... a lot, it becomes increasingly difficult to keep up with the pitchers who are out there working to get you out with better stuff every year. Eventually, it becomes too hard for even the very gifted.
The rest of us mere mortals must learn to have fun incentive to get better and better. And what better place to do it than right in your own backyard.
A Final Note
Any player who is fortunate enough to have a batting cage and pitching machine right out their back door is at an awesome advantage. Nothing is inexpensive and though this is as affordable a set up as I have ever seen... it does take hard earned money to get it done.
Keep in mind that if you bump up against your budget without taking food off the table, you will make a good decision.
Consider the following:
In most cases... A shorter batting cage with an affordable pitching machine is superior to a longer batting cage, without a pitching machine.
Successful Hitters Swing A lot!
They learn the good mechanics of an efficient fastpitch swing, then they do it over and over and over... In many cases, it becomes about Who Really Wants It... not who is the biggest or fastest... it's the improvement that keeps players on the field year after year! It may turn out to be your secret too! You'll never believe that getting good can be this much fun!
